FWA Masquerade Guidelines Now Available!

For anyone interested in the FWA Masquerade, the event guidelines and registration forms are now available:

There is now a link to the guidelines on the Fursuit and Pawpetry Track page of the website.

Remember that the masquerade has two parts: a Technical Judging and a Performance Judging. So, it's open to both fursuit builders and fursuit performers - you can compete in either or both parts if you wish. See the guidelines document for all of the details and requirements.

The Masquerade is going to have an Exhibition (non-judged) section for the big Masquerade Performance event. 'Exhibition', by the way, is just a fancy way of saying it's a mini Furry Variety Show. So, if you have any kind of act that you'd like to do in the non-judged part of the show (doesn't have to be fursuit related), just grab the guidelines packet and fill out the final form (Performance Details Form). Bring that form to the Performance Sign-Up and Rehearsal starting at 10 AM on the Sunday of the con, and be ready to do a run-through of your act.

The Masquerade Perfromance event itself will begin at Noon on the Sunday of the con, and everyone attending FWA is invited to come out and see the big show. You'll get to see our fursuiters showing off for the crowd, all of the exhibition acts, and the awards presentation at the end of the show. It's going to be fun, so you don't want to miss it.

One last reminder: if you're going to participate in any part of the Masquerade, even just doing an act in the Exhibition session, please get the guidelines packet, read it through, and do your paperwork before you get to the con. This will save everyone a lot of time and headaches.

I am, BTW, the Masquerade Director, so feel free to direct any questions or comments about the Masquerade to me. (But, don't ask me who the judges are - that is top secret information until the judging for each area actually begins :-)
